Teaming up with the crew of Sanda Movies ( https://www.facebook.com/sandamovies/ ), Lahmia produced the music video for their second single extracted out of “Resilience”: the album’s first track “Elegy for a Dying Sun“.
Shot during the last two months of the 2018, it features both some great moments of the band playing one of the most thrilling songs of their discography and an artistic depiction of the story hiding behind the band’s own name.
The greek myth of Lamia is about what may have become the first representation of a vampire in human culture:
moved by the waywardness of the gods, this persian princess initiated a vengeful feticide, losing her humanity in the process and turning into what we might now call rightfully a vampire.
Anne Rice’s novels have also been somewhat inspiring in the depiction of the video’s events.
